Protein skimmer

Hi,
I just recently upgraded my 55 reef to a 90 reef with sump. I moved everything over to the new tank about 3 weeks ago and hooked up the sump. I waited about a week to add my protein skimmer (aqua c remora) and I have not had any gunk collect yet. When it was hanging on the back of my 55 it was full every day. In the tank is
100 lbs live sand
90 lr
Any suggestions. Thanks

Did you move all the old water into the new tank too? Remember, you have nearly double your original water volume, Your dissolved organics will be highly diluted at this point. Not to mention did you clean your skimmer before swapping it over, or let it dry out? Either way whenever you swap skimmers (even established ones) on a tank they need to go through some sort of an initial break in. Also be advised, the regular Aqua C Remora is only rated for systems up to 75 gallons. your 90 + sump would be pretty far over the gallonage rating, especially since you want a skimmer thats rated a good amount beyond your systems voume to be effective. Just something to keep in mind if you start seeing water quality issues. Hope this helps!
