Protein Skimmers

I've seen so many protein skimmers and I want to k
know what is the best for a 55 gallon saltwater. Please help me, I'm so new to this!

I have a Seaclone skimmer that hangs on the back of my 55 gal. tank. I have been please with it. Others have used one from Prizm but have had problems with noise. My SeaClone is not that noisy.

if you have a sump, I have had good luck with berlin classics, have one in a 55 and one in a 75

welcome aboard, adn personally for that size tank, my order of preference would be
the prizm
the cpr bakpak
and then the remora
allin order of price, but preference would be the other way around(if money is not a problem)

I have had good luck with a CPR Backpak skimmer. I think they are good for tanks up to 60 gallons but I might be wrong.

I ran my 55 gallon with a homemade skimmer and at times without a skimmer at all. I ran my 120 with a berlin skimmer in the sump and I now run my 180 with a berlin skimmer in the sump. Some people do not run their skimmers 24/7 but I do.

Seaclone on my 55 works great for me. IMO an excellent skimmer for the price.

Aggressor 90....great unknown skimmer..
i have used cpr bakpak before..but this one works much better..
