Protien Skimmer Which one?

I need a place to get a Protien skimmer for my 125 gal. (FOWLR) In a LFS, there was a seaclone 100 for $120, is this good?

i prefer u get a better skimmer than seaclone. i have a seaclone, it doesnt do a lot job for my 55 gallon tank.specially u have a large tank. get ETTS or Marine Technical concept skimmer. i just bought the MTC, and the skimmer is doing great in my tank. if u are on the budget get the cpr back pack, i recomended very much if u are in the thight budget.

I have a 125 gallon tank and I use a Berlin Turbo Classic skimmer and I works great. Imidiate results. It's the only one I have had experience with so of course it's a bias opinion.

i'm running a berlin h.o. on my tank and no problems. my only complaint is that the way i've got it setup on my tank is that i've got to remove the lighting hood to do any maint. on it. consider a skimmer that can be set up outside the tank. i know on my next tank, it will be different. <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" /> <img src="graemlins//yeahright.gif" border="0" alt="[yeahright]" />

Berlin Turbo Classic skimmer is the best i have it in my 150gl

depends on your buf=dget & what kind of tank you will have; if can, buy the best one you can w/in reason of course; no need for 1 that's rated for 300 gallons costing $$$ when you only have 100 gallon or smaller; we have been using our seaclone for 13 for almost a year now from BROWN box; not sure if packaging makes a difference; just the design; older on had problems that needed some DIY mods done on it; inner tube that the "tornadoe" acction emanates from should be about 3"; if it's larger, than probably pass on it unless you plan to do mod's on it yourself; you can get seaclone online for average of $79 + S&H we got ours from petwarehouse.com

I'm looking for one for my 180g tank. I made a mistake of putting the tank too close to the wall so I won't be able to get a hang-on skimmer. What else is there? I was thinking about having two Berlin in-tank skimmers. This might be the only way to go, is it?
