do i really need a PS for my tank, i just set it up, its only 29 gallons. i plan on doing live rock little coral, nothnig crazy. if so what do recommend

You always will need a protien skimmer if you don't want a huge algea problem! I'm not sure on what kind though, it depends on how much money your planning on spending!

---- has some pretty cheap, i want and extrnal, i forget what ther called, stars with a V.
its a small tank so i shouldnt need to spend a fortune

some don't use protein skimmers and have good success....but i believe they also have a good filtration system setup like refuge,,etc

Look into jebo protein skimmers they are cheap and it is kicking butt on my girlfriends 29G
