Protien Skimmer

Do I have to let it sit BEFORE I add the salt or can I let the Chlorine evaporate while the salt is mixing?

Also, is there some kind of chlorine test kit so I can make sure all the chlorine is gone? And if I remember correctly other Chlorinates require 24-48 hours to aspirate out. I am assuming I cannot lid the bucket during this process and I don't really want a open bucket sitting around for 24-48 hours. So no one has used Prime?

Yes there are chlorine test kits, and I don't believe it takes that long for chlorine to evaporate. Eight hours seems to stick in my head but I can't remember for sure.
Yes you can mix the salt and let the chlorine come off while it is mixing and your right don't put a lid on it.

I looked it up and it takes 48 hours. Also, this does nothing to neutralize heavy metals and some other Chlorinates. I'll get Prime and Stress Coat Marine.

I added a full tank's worth of Prime. No extra foaming. I have beautiful dark brown sludge in my BH-100.
