Anybody Ever Been? I Am Thinking About Goin There For My Honeymoon In August. Whats It Like? Is The Scuba And Snorkeling Any Good? I Was Reading About It On The Internet And Of Course They Only Post The Good Stuff, What About The Bad?

Don't know if it helps but I'm going January 15th for a week and Ill let ya know when I get back.
From what I've read, the water isn't real clear around the resorts making snorkeling and scuba a little more difficult.
I know there's tours you can take, but again, I hear you're in a group of 50 or so, and that's not my idea of a fun snorkeling trip.
I spent my honeymoon at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana Dominican Republic 2 years ago, and since then, 3 other couples I know went to the exact same place for theirs. Not sure if you're set on Mexico, but Punta Cana is quickly becoming one of the more popular honeymoon spots.

well the problem is that im going on my honeymoon in august and that equals hurricane season, thats why we are kinda not going to the carribean. ive read up on puerto vallarta and apparently they dont get hurricanes very often and it is sunny 300 days a year. plus we are using my moms time share and this is one of the places available. we were trying for hawaii, but there are no places available when we are going. the only other tropical place available is the dominican, and again i dont want to risk the hurricanes.

Our wedding was August 7th. We were in Punta Cana from the 9th to the 19th. It rained one day for about 3 hours. Sun and no clouds the entire trip basically. I don't think hurricane season really starts until mid September.
You guys will have a blast where ever you go.
Like I said, I'll be in Vallarta in mid January. If this thread is still around, I'll post comments.

Ok, can't find it so maybe the Gov dropped it, but there for a while a travel alert was in force for Mexico warning Americans about crime in Mexico.
/shrug Can't find it so maybe it was just an advisory or something.
