Well guys this maybe kind of an emergency/ lost cause type thing but i just got home from work to find my dog face puffer partially stuck in my power head his one side seems to be a little chewed up but he was still fighting to get out si i unplugged the ph and he swam out so now hes hiding in the lr and looks like hes gasping for air is there anything i could do to help his survival rate????? or is it to late im gonna try to get a pic real quick but i cant guarantee hell come out of the lr

not really just make sure that he doesnt have anyone bothering him.

hes going to pout for a while after that ordeal make sure your water quality is kept up.if your using carbons remove them from the tank and dose with melafix this will help reduce stress and help heal his wounds.he may have a chance depending on sevarity if his injuries

I agree. MelaFix should also help, as it is an all-natural stress reliever for wounds, cuts, etc.

I set up a hospital tank over the past couple hours put him in there and dosed with pimafix idont have any melafix in the house tomorrow will be the soonest that ill be able to get any i would guess that this is good news when i was catching him to put him in quarantine he had a little puffed moment trying to keep me away so maybe thats a good sign guess we'll just play the waiting game thanks for the advise i hope it works
