puffer acting sick?

I have a spiny box puffer that seems to be sick. I noticed he is very inactive, not eating, laboring and sitting at the bottom of the tank. I have him in a tank by himself because I'm worried that if he dies he'll posion the rest of the tank. This happened once before and after a couple of days he was fine again. Last night I did a water change athough all the parameters look ok. Does anyone have any advise?

I have a Porcupine who does that when he has eaten too much or is "sleeping". It worried me the first couple times he did it, but now I am used to it and he actually lodges himself between rocks and clamps his fins to "sleep". To any else he would look sick, but I know he's fine. Maybe your guy is doing the same. Fed him recently? Mine gets freaked and does it also when I do water changes, maybe your is a little spooked. I would wait a day or so and if he still doing then start to worry. GOOD LUCK!

all i had at the time was lettuce and prawn

My guy did the same thing, what I did was got a piece of krill and put it on a shish-ka-bob wooden stick and put in front of his face, he sucked it up. I did that after him not eating for about 5 days after I got him. It took about 2-3 days and then I would just drop it in and he would track it down and eat it.

Its been about 2 days now still no eating. Got my fingers crossed.
