I'm wanting to get a hawaiian blue puffer but i'm confused on what to feed it. What type of food is hard enough to wear down on their ever-growing teeth?
- Thanks
shrimp, with the shell on them is about as good as it getsto help them with their teeth,i get mine from the seafood store but the grocery store has them also, for a treat every once in a while ill get them a couple of clams and just open the shell slightly and you will see what their teeth are really made for,my dogface will rip the shell apart to get to meat inside but i have to remove the shell and what ever is left after about 10 min. because its to much to feed him all at once
You can easily file down their teeth with hard shell shrimp, other foods that they will eat are krill, frozen brine shrimp, live shrimp, open mussels, squid, just mainly anything you give them they will eat.
