Puffer Pics

My gf and I are huge fans of puffer fish. We have a small (3 in.) dogface ourselves. I'll post pics when my gf gets home with the camera, but I would like to see the variety of puffers you all have.

RCreations, you said these are puffers you 'had'... what happened to them? Also, I see that you're in Columbus, where do you go for fish and supplies? I'm in Chillicothe.

The first one, the golden puffer kept biting all my other fish. I had it in a 150 and the next day I wake up, 2 of my fish have round bite marks on their fins, the next day another one. So I took it back to the LFS. The dogface puffer was a little too nice for my agressive tank and was getting pushed around by my queen angel, so I found him a better home. The stars and stripe was a rescue. I got him when he was really tiny and skinny and sold him when he got to about 5". I had him in a 65gal so he was getting too big for the tank.

What LFS do you go to? The only thing in Chillicothe is Petland, which is garbage. They're more interested in money than teaching people what they need to know. We have to order online.

I got the golden puffer from Phishy Business, great store! The other 2 I got from Aquarium Adventure. A lot of people knock Aquarium Adventure but I never had a fish I bought from them get sick, at all! Some of their fish have ich but if you QT them, they're healthy otherwise.

You really should try a puffer. They may be weird looking but their puppy dog attitude is impossible to resist.

My stars and stripes bit clear through a glass thermometer.
