Puffer Problem

Ok I have my puffer in a 10 gallon hospital tank but ive done all the treatments for ich his eyes are clouded I dont know if that is a problem with ich also I was thinking of freshwater dips but is it effective? How long should I leave him in the freshwater? and how long and how many dips should I do? Any adive will help Thanks

Sorry to hear your problem. The only thing I can say is if you medicate him..... BECAREFUL. read the instructions on meds. remember he is a scaleless fish. Most meds say they are not for scaleless fish.

I just cant seem to find the problem nothing seems to help. He seems to not be getting any better I really hope there is something that can work. The cloudy eyes is that something to worry about? I work in a pet shop and all they tell me is yup puffers get ich so no help there im only 16 im trying to grasp the saltwater go-wrongs with diffrent fish but any more adive and help will really be a help.

Ben, answer my question so I can proceed to help you. How did you treat the ich? Details needed.
Does the fish currently have ich? What about your other fish? All fish exposed to ich need to be treated.
Please tell us how you treated the ich. Also, take a look at the post on ich in the FAQ Thread.

I had the same problem and i pretty much got a 10 gallon tank took some water out of my DT and put it in my QT then took my old filter pad and stuck it in and let it rrun for about 2 hrs and put my puffer in ther i treated him with copper b careful i found out that the copper i used it takes about 5-7 days for it to fully hit so just put the amount needed in and then use marcyn tabs give it about 5 days and the cloud will go away also on that note to keep medicating him after the marcyn use green -x after that it helps with the ick thing i just lost about 800 $ worth of fish beucase of ick but i saved the puffer hes a good little guy very cute kinda looks like E.T. anyway hope that is helpful!!!!
