I am currently setting up my 180 gallon setup, but I also have a 90gal. FOWLR,that used to be a reef, that I would like to put a golden puffer in. Could a 5" Golden puffer or a Clown trigger go in this size tank? I have 125lbs. of live rock,80lbs. of live sand,a Berlin turbo skimmer, and a UV sterilizer. The fish that I want to keep in the tank are: 1 Golden Puffer,1 Harlequin Tusk,1 Clown Trigger,1 Blonde Naso Tang, 1 Sohal Tang, and if it will fit a Snowflake Moray. Will this ge too many fish? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

for the 90, thats too many fish. the clown will get too big. also scratch the tangs, they dont do too well in an agressive set up. i think the golden puffer will be ok in there, as will the h. tusk and snowflake eel. if you want a trigger a humu, niger, pinktail, etc. should be ok in there. just be very, very careful of mixing puffers and triggers, sometimes it will result in death. bo

that is to many fish for that tank but i do have a tusk and a golden puffer and a clown trigger and a yellow tang in a 125g that has worked great, but i would reccommend the tang, i dont like mine. any questions about the trigger or tusk or the puffer, you can email me anytime.

Well as far as I'm concerned, I don't know what you're planning on putting in that 180 but if you put those fish in the 180 it would be awesome. Considering their size and amount of waste produced by these fish, it would be good to have a large tank. I am an expert at Harlequin Tusks and would recommend you put it in the 180. The 90 is too small for those fish but that 180 would make a heluva tank for those fish. Of course, you'll need a kick-ass filter system. Overall, if you don't already have something planned for the 180 put those fish in that tank because that 90 wouldn't fit more than 2 or 3 of those fish. And as the Trigger is usually pissed off it would beat the daylights outta the other fish in a small tank. They do grow about 10 inches in captivity and they can reach a foot so they can wipe out a lot of fish.

If you take out the angel, and you might want to get a snowflake instead of the zebra. But I do see that tank working.
