is there any puffer i can put in my aquarium? i have always wanted a puffer.
tank now has:
one kenya tree leather,mushrooms,yellow polyps,, two feather dusters,two clowns,4 pj cardinals,one rustic angel,two flame scallops,two peppermint shrimp,one cleaner shrimp, some hermits and snails.
any info will be great.

and i forgot i also have some green star polyps

Why? The puffer would do it better than him trying to get them out of the tank. Either that or buy the SWF Store Big Boy Reef package every few months.

Based on his nickname, I'd assume 125 gallons.

As far as puffers, any breed of puffer will fit in a 125. As others have stated though, some have less temperment with certain inverts over others. A porcupine puffer would have a nice snack with your shrimp. They are also agressive against snails and hermits. I had a Hawaiian Blue Puffer in my 55 for a couple of years, and the first thing he did when I put him in the tank was pick on a couple of my snails. But as long as I kept the tank fed with frozen, he left them alone. The funniest thing I saw was when he went after my CBS. This shrimp is one bad dude (he beat up my Blue Hippo). After he took a couple swipes at the puffer, the puffer left him alone. Hawaiians are also a smaller species of puffer. They don't get over 3" or 4". So thye won't intimidate or harm any of your other fish. My puffer never picked on my corals, but I have heard of some species that do. Putting a puffer in the tank with inverts is a hit or miss. You may get one that is content with eating the frozen, or you may get one that will use your inverts as a personal smorgesboard.
