Puffer with an anemone possible?

Anyone ever had success with a dog faced puffer with a large anemone? I realized this is a bad idea. I have a 60G with a small dog faced puffer, and 1 anthia. I have two 48" VHO lamps to support an anemone, but think the puffer may eat the anemone. Any anemone's out there that have a really strong namatocyst that may keep the puffer away. I'm also thinking of housing about 3 or 5 ocellaris clown's with the anemone to protect it. Am I out of my mind?
BTW- I haven't updated my current tank listings, so they may be different than listed on my signature.
Thanks, Matt

i highly doubt that occelaris clowns would protect an anemone from a puffer. in fatc i think that those may be the most expensive feeder fish ever :(

I have seen it too many times, clowns and puffers don't mix very often...though there is the rare pair that can be buddies...i still would not try it just because of the risk involved. and if your anemone dies, it can poison your system rather quickly.

i think it just depends on your puffer... i have a porcupine puffer in my tank with a carpet anemone, a pink tip, and a florida condi along with a marroon clown and they have been livnig together happily for a couple months

Thanks for your responses everyone! I agree that clownfish would be a very expensive meal for the puffer. Sounds like a big gamble. Not sure it it's a good one either. Any other ideas for coral or anemones that a puffer may not like...other than place the puffer in another tank?
