Hey, Don't you have a juvenile King angel? If so I just wanted to know its personality. I'm looking into getting one sometime. Right now my tank just has a rainbow wrasse, female. This weekend I believe I'm picking up a 3" Niger trigger and then I plan on adding a Harlequin, sohol tang, and King angel. TJ

TJ; Yes I have a juv King about 4" or so but still baby colors. The book says they are aggresive and believe me it is. It killed my gold stripe maroon clown a couple weeks ago. It is in a 65 with the following fishmates Sailfin Tang; oriental wrasse, spotted hawk; cleaner wrasse. I would suggest that a King be the last in which is what I did but it still took out the clown for some reason and it chases the wrasse around (which is big fellow now about 6"). It truly is a beautiful fish but it has no manners. It has had ick twice since I got it but copper cleaned it up both times within a few days. I bought it 10-31-00 and paid 130 for it. At the time I wondered why it was in a tank by itself now I know why.

Thanks for the info pufferlover. I was thinking the same thing, but should the sohol or King angel go last? TJ

I would say King. In my case the sailfin tang was already the king of the tank when I added the King. They are about the same size and will posture with each other but the sailfin does not mess with the King. Even better I would do both at once that way neither can claim the tank first.

Pufferlover, would the King angel go after a 4 1/2 koran angelfish, a 5 1/2 in. Blonde Naso Tang, and a 3 in. Niger Trigger

I would NOT add another angelfish to your tank. If you have fish that get along, don't take a chance putting something in the tank that will terrorize your fish and possibly kill them. Very rarely do 2 angelfish get along in the same tank. TJ

I would agree that the King would make their lives miserable. The King according to a article I read tonight is the most aggressive of its species (I did not know that as Johnny Carson used to say). Mine spends its time chasing the larger oriental wrasse and fin dancing with the Sailfin Tang. It does not bother the Hawkfish nor the Cleaner Wrasse which is its personal cleaning slave. It eats everything I put in the tank krill, squid, life line grren, formula 1 & 2 Cubes, flakes, worms, live brine, frozen brine, frozen mysis shrimp. I guess you could say it has a appetite.
