Did you say 50Gallon??? IMO you are way overstocked allready without adding a puffer or a wrasse as the 3 fish you have listed will all outgrow a 50G very soon.

I have a maroon clown , blue tang , humu and saddle puffer in a 50 (but all 3-4 inches and I just bought a 90) all seem to get along well. I ocasionally worry about the clown, but she was there first and is largest at this time

a full grown blue tang should really be in a 125-at least

I don't want to be a downer but both of your tanks are way too small.

Yikes. I knew needed big, but this site talks about 40 gal, so I figured 90 would be okay. I only have the 4 fish, one cuke, a star and some corals

Wait, are you upgrading to the 90? Maybe I misunderstood. Sorry it's finals week.

Very often, (I Think) the site will list what they consider the minimum size tank for the fish being sold with out considering growth or tankmates.. Most fish they sell are small; but have a lot of growing to do. The listing says 40 gal for a 1-3" blue hippo tang; but 150 gal for the 5" variety of the same fish. I believe almost all discussion on the forums includes whats in the tank, how big they WILL get, etc.

Yeah, with the fish that you find interesting go with a 210 or something. It will be worth it in the long run, then you can get your dogface and he'll be happy!

I have a spiny puffer that is about two inches now. He is so cute I have him in a 90gl tank. He will grow up to a foot though.
