Pufferlover:
Maybe I will hold off on the betta... Is there any other fish I could put with the eel and the puffer since I can't have inverts?

I still would say a Hogfish especially a Diana's which is what I have with my BIG Pork pair. They hold their own eat like piggies and are hardy as steel (not to mention not real expensive either- very pretty fish)
You seem really into Puffers (that makes you my dear friend right off) for pictures and other info on small Puffs go thru my homepage above and you will find lots of Puff stuff.

Thanks I will look into it! I loved my FW puffers. I had one spotted puffer that lived in a 20 by himself...Lived for 2 years (i bought it full grown)... ever since than I have been interested in puffers. The other day at the LFS I saw a cute little pork. Only if I had a tank big enough for him. Only 19.99. I love the blue eyes...
Anyways, thanks for the advice... I will look into the hogfish and your website!
Dave :)

What do you say about a dwarf lionfish, a snowflake eel, and and a valentini puffer?...
ALSO, would a 30-60 advanced whisper power filter be enough filteration? (I will be getting a protien skimmer as well).

That could work for you (the three you mentioned). As far as filter the whisper will work (I have used them and liked them) but my real favorite the last few years are the Emperor filters (280 & 400) by Marineland. They are easy to work on can change pads while they are running with no mess, and on the net are not priced bad at all (if you know where to look), On a 40 a 280 would work fine (I use one on my 45) and you would be turning your water about 6 times which is adequate.
Got to say I love a person who keeps working what they want around our little Puffer friends you are a true Pufferlover lol.

My LFS has the cutest little 3 inch valentini puffer and I already named it Elliot... ( ;) )I told the LFS not to sell it. Yep, I love puffers. I am thinking about another tank after this 40... maybe a 75 for a pork.
BTW, I love your club. And thanks for all the advice.

Also, could I do this tank skimmerless?
I don't have a skimmer on my 10 gallon (scooter blenny and tomato clown). Every thing seems to be ok, I have 2 x 5 15 whisper/regent power filters on it.
