i have 15+ stalks of xenia on a half a clam shell. I put them close to the back wall. They fell a bit and i decided to move them after a day and when i did one came off and is now stuck to the back glass (what i was hoping for) another stretched to the point of almost breaking off. should i cut this with sisors or just leave it, or should i continue to pull it off. I would like the xenia to climb up the back wall if possable. the reason i ask is i would like to move the xenia to a different spot in the tank in hopes that i can get more to grow up the back wall. any info would be great.

It would be fine to cut it off and rubber band it to a rock....or you can just leave it. I cut my xenias with a new razor blade when i scrape them off glass or frag them. HTH

I just took this pic of my Xenia "wall".This is what you will get when it grows up the back glass. If you look hard you will see the return for my skimmer between the two power heads.Completely covered!
