As you know your PH rises and falls with each lighting cycle (and is why some choose to light a refugium on a reverse schedule to their lights) it is not incorrect it just differs from day to night which was the point I was trying to make.
Herbbie said he just checked your PH and it was 8.2 . the post time was after 2pm (probably 1pm in Wisconsin?) so the only thing I was thinking was if he had a 8.2 PH at mid day then his PH could drop into the high 7's (7.7-7.9) at night which is a range I get concerned about.
