Pump works, impeller just shakes!!!

I thought the pump for my skimmer kicked the bucket. I took it apart, and found that it in fact still works except the impeller instead of spinning, just "rattles" around in there. Any fixes or suggestions?? ( REDSEA skimmer pump if it makes a difference)

Sounds like a bad impeller. If its a Berlin Turbo, its definately the impeller.

Had similar problem. Redsea replaced pump at no charge.

This was a used setup I bought, dont think Red-Sea would replace. Going to store to try impeller. Ill let you know.

Ok, store didnt have size, so figured out exactly what it was. I took apart a good pump and put my impeller in there....same thing just shook. Put the other impeller into the skimmer pump....worked fine. Contacted Red Sea and they are sending me an impeller for $9.00. I would use the one from the other pump (not using it) but just a tad to long.
