AWESOME pictures! So does he love to play ball or dies he just do it at the beach?
He doesnt like the tennis ball so much at home mainly cause he has lots of other toys to play with. His current favorite is a red rubber ball that looks kinda like a spiderweb that is open on the inside. It lets him get a really good grip for tug of war and we can squeeze a bone inside of it if we really want to make him crazy!

Awesome... Hes getting big... great looking dog! I love to take my dogs to the beach or lake.
My prob is my pup I know enjoys the water. My older male... not so much so when they are together she feeds off of his energy, and when he is reluctant she see this and hesitates too. So, now here I go in the water to get her to follow... LOL but its a lot of fun. I know as she gets older she will not be so willing to follow him as much, as I can already see she doesnt always do what he does anymore.

You'll just have to get another puppy when your current pup grows up a bit so your older female will always have a young sprout to chase around! My wife and I are already thinking about our next dog to get as a playmate for Riley.

awesome photos!! stupid new jersey doesn't allow dogs at the beach

That sucks! Long Island has some strange rules. Some of the beaches here are state parks that dont allow dogs but the one 5 minutes from my house is a County Park and they do allow them in certain areas

You may have said already but what kind of dog is it?
He's a mutt but we're pretty sure he is a Ridgeback Beagle mix.

My daughter has a full blood Rhodesian Ridgeback. Haley is 85 lbs. and all muscle what a great temperment they have. So peaceful and very protective. Does your dog have the stripe of hair down its spine that lays the other way from the rest of its hair?

Pictures are not of Haley, just wanted to show others the stripe of hair I was talking about.

Mine does not have the ridge that runs in the opposite direction but I think that is a recessive trait that is the first to disappear when dealing with a mix breed. There are a lot of full breed Ridgebacks that dont even get the ridge either. I met a guy with a Great dane Ridgeback mix the other day and his did not have the ridge either. Other than not having the ridge though, my dog looks exactly like a Ridgeback. He is a little on the short side though and his front legs are shaped more like a Beagle which is why we are thinking that is his mix. One of these days we are going to get him DNA tested to find out for sure but we just havent gotten around to it yet.
