Purple firefish sick??

I noticed last night on the left side of my purple firefish that there was a bump, but I do not believe it's ich. It's the same color as that part of the firefish and looks more like a bump than an attachment. This morning the bump on the left side was gone but then there was a bump on the right side, again not white in color and looks to be more of a protrusion than anything. Any ideas?? I've tried to get a picture but with the bump being the same color as the fish it's next to impossible to see

possibly just a bruise from darting into the rocks too fast. continue watching it closely. a picture is worth 1000 words...

you can kind of see it on the left side there, it looks a little whiter. sorry, i took this pic with my phone so that's the best i can do!

Yeah, they get banged up pretty easily. If he is eating and swimming ok, I would guess its just a bump. Hopfully there is no one on the tank who attacked him???

two percs, a yellow clown goby, and some inverts. if anything he's more of the bully picking on the percs when i feed them so he can get the food before them. as soon as the light goes on he's right out front. i've had him for about a month now. i'm assuming it's just a bump but this is my first "sick" fish - just want to make sure it's not something more i should be worried about

i would compare the bump to some of the bacterial infection pictures in the FAQs for diseased fish. see if it bears any resemblance. pay attention to the way he is acting, if habits change at all. if you are thinking it is an infection then you will likely want to QT the fish and dose it with melafix or some other antibacterial product. but dont dose in your DT, especially if it is a reef. but like i said before, it looks like nothing but a bump / scrape and the fish should heal up within 2 weeks.
