purple pseudochromis and sixline wrasse

well ive had my purple pseudochromis in my 30 gallon reef for about 2 months now. i just got my sixline wrasse from swf.com yesterday and when i added him to the tank the pseudo. attacked the six line. i figured he would get bored in a few minutes, so i left the lights off, and came back later to see the six line hiding with my pistol shrimp in his burrow. i figured id give it to the mornig and see how everything goes. so this morning i woke up and the six lines fins are all ripped up and he was still hiding and every time he comes out the pseudo. attacks him. after about 2 hours of trying i caught the pseudo. and now hes in my sump. the six line seems to be doing ok, hes poking around at things and he ate a little, but his fins are in bad condition.
so do you think itll be safe to add the pseudo back to the tank, or not? how long should i wait till i put him back in the DT? any suggestions?

The psuedo in that small of a tank is likely to attack anything you add AFTER him. I'd say it's risky with the wrasse because they have similar body shapes. If you do add him back to the main tank I would be sure he's the last fish you add. I'd give it at least 2-3 weeks so the psuedo forgets his territories (whole tank really).

ok, so you think two weeks should be good? enough time for him to forget what the DT is like.

ha he has been banished to the sump. that's a bit disheartening. i just have a purple pseudo in my 12 g and wanted to add a little blenny, but i guess there's no point in killing an innocent blenny in the hands of the pseudo

lol, hes still in there until i make my next order. the sixline died, but i got the guarantee for him, so im keeping the pseudo in the sump until i make my next order, which should be next week.

I had the same thing happen to me in our old tank. Added a sixline wrasse after the pseudo, and the pseudo bit the tail right off the sixline!!
