It looks like that bad aggravating type algea. I dont know if its algea but thats what I call it. I used to get it in my tank when my nitrates would get high. The best way I found to get rid of it was to do a lot of water changes with clean water...not tap water. If you use tap water let is circulate at least for 24hrs in another tank if you have one. Or you can get some water conditioner. It wouldnt hurt to add some Prime to it. It helps minimize the stress on your fish from the nitrates and helps bring the nitrates down. But the water changes would best help until it starts to clear up. But def try to pick it off your rocks and sand to get it out, b.c itll just multiply!
Hope this helps!

i really am not feeding that much since i only have 2 clownfish in a 24 gallon aquarium. i am only feeding 1 time a day and sometimes every other day. how do i increase the water flow when it is at the bottom of the aquarium and partially under a rock

Throw nitrates out the window. Phosphates is the main food source. Even if they test 0, it is likely your problem. The cyano is due to phosphates. Water changes are important as already suggested.

that is red slime, use ro/di filter for your top off water.use ultralife red slime remover and you will see how it will be gone in a weeks max. your main problem its the water

I would never use red slime remover. It is not worth the risk ever imo. Leave it alone and do a lot of water changes. In your mind, it makes more sense to try to remove it, but by doing this, you will just release the nutrients back into the water. Leave it alone and fix your water quality. That's the best way I've found to fix it. Cutting feedings would help too. Use red slime remover ONLY as a last resort.
