Dear hobbyist, Purple and yellow tangs are very aggressive towards each other, and if you don't have a large aquarium with plenty of live rock, you will end up with 1 or 2 dead tangs. Its risky . Remember, Tangs of the same shape will fight . Some people introduce them at the same time, but have large tanks. That could work. Enjoy the hobby..

I personally would not even think about a Purple and a Yellow in my 125g. IMO you should not do more than 1 tang in a 100g but if you must I would definitely make sure they are in different families and shaped differently.

I would personally not put a yellow and purple in a 100g tank....and certainly not several yellows in an attempt to also get a purple.

I wouldnt even put a Purple tang and a yellow tang in my 300 gallon. There are plenty of other fish you could put in your tank.

they would look good together but they would hate each other and one would end up dead.

Strange I have a Yellow and a Scopis together in a 72 G and they swim together and seem to like each other. Same body shape. You never really know unless you try. If they dont get along take 1 back.

Scopas are generally much more easy-going than purples.
If the tank was larger, and you could fit another zebrasoma in there it would probably work.
