Whats up with the price on Purple Tangs??? SWF has the cheapest price at 49.99 for a 2-3 inch size.I have seen other sites offering the same fish for over 110.00$. Thats quite a price difference.

my (uneducated) guess would be that the "other" sellers dont do as good of a job at acclimation, simply wanting to get the fish in and out as fast as possible, and therefore have higher tang mortality rates.

I heard that there will be a price spike for Purples because some countries have limited or stopped collecting them.. I forgot where I read it?

There are a couple of types of purple tangs. Some are more colorful and more expensive. Some thread a while back had a summary of it. Search it?

AAHHH,That would make sense.. I had heard a possible rumor about that.... I guess it might be coming true.
