Purple Tangs in group

My lfs told me I could keep purple tangs in groups, I did want to have a school of yellow tangs, in my 210 FWLR but I thought this would be more colorful. This site says keep only one purple tang per tank. I don't know if I would want to try to go with the purple's anyway because they are so much more expensive. Has anyone had success with keeping multiple purple tangs?

I've seen it done a few times, its no different than having several yellow tangs

Hey bud i have a frined of mine who has 3 yellows and 5 purples together ina 300 gallon i think its possible by introducing them all at the same time.

Thanks alot I think that is what I am going to try. The purples that is not both species.

Rgmason, The only thing that could be cooler than having three yellow tangs and five purples in your budys tank would be if they were in mine
