why do you want to add purple up? There's no need for it IMO. nobody doses the ocean with anything... I never add anything to my tank like that... no sirreee... It's not natural. If you want your coraline to grow faster, check your calcium levels. If they're ok, it's probably because you don't have enough lighting. If you want your coraline to grow faster, scrub a little bit of your existing coraline with a toothbrush. This will cause it to release spores, and therefore it will spread faster.

Purple Up is great IMO. Instead of having multiple additives to put in everyday(calcium, ect..) Purple Up offers it all in one deal.

Is it true if your calcium is at a good level(mine is at 400-450) it means you have sufficient lighting?

Not true!
You can have good calcium levels with stock NO lights.
Personally, I rely on regular 10% water changes to keep my levels, including calcium, in check. Coraline will come with time and proper water parameters. I started just buying LR, and before I knew it I had coralline growing on my glass. Only then did I begin to scrape it off the glass.

me too. my calcium is always at a constant 40, and i have stock lights as well. Lighting has nothing to do with calcium.
