Purple up?

for those of you that say that it works I have a question.
this is not ment to be negative so please dont take it that way.
how many tanks have you setup to compare the results of the tank you used purple up in.
Me personally have set up many and i did use the product and it didnt make the coraline grow any faster than a tank that the levels where in the proper range.

The only difference between Purple Up and Calcium/Magnesium dosing is that Purple up adds Calcium Carbonite in the form of Aragonite which gives false high readings of Calcium as it dissolves. I'm not doubting that anyones had success with it, but I do doubt that its any more helpful then dosing cheaper products without fancy names.

My last tank was completely covered in a nice thick layer of coralline, and I never did use PU, so I know it's not necessary. And as I said this tank is going on...hmmm 4 months or so, and the coralline is there, in spots all over, and again, I don't use it.
I wonder if I threw it in now (and got results) if it would be the added time or if the PU really had anything to do with it.
I wouldn't know how to tell without setting up another tank right beside this one.
