pvc colors

Most people use white pvc fittings. I plan to do the same but I will be having some fittings that are actually inside the tank. The tank has a black background. Can I use black pvc fittings so that they blend in or are those bad?

You can. I personally recommend using abs pipe. I use it in my tank and it is not visible.

Acrylonite-Butadene-Styrene (ABS) pipe is more of a blue/green color.

Yeah, it's black. The only downside is that the fittings for it are gray. It is really flexible compared to pvc. It's great stuff.
