PVC Glue

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to glue pvc after your tank is established? I wanted to add a ball valve to my overflow but I am afraid to harm my tank.

i used pvc glue and primer to plumb my sump, and everything has been healthy. Iwould have thought it would wipe out my tank, but it didnt.

Yeah it would be cool to add the ball valve. Just make sure the glue is dry before you fire the system back up.......Just to be on the safe side run carbon after doing it.....
Actually I've seen PVC glue dropped into a tank....Not alot mind you, but a good size goober and it basically clumped on the surface of the water.....I don't recommend glueing over top the tank though!!!!!!
