PVC in FO tank

I was think about putting a small piece of PVC pipe in my tank for some chromis to swim through and more place to hide. Is this a bad idea? Does it have chemicals that would mess up the tank...if there's even a chance I don't want to take it. Thanks!

Rinse and put in tank NO PROBLEM although some people say that the "black" PVC may not be good for some marine life. The black PVC is made for waste water only and not NSF-61 certified of potable water.
