My current livestock in a 55g:
1 green chromis
1 4 striped damsel
1 yellow tang
1 cc starfish
1 coral banded shrimp
5 mexican turbo snails
10 hermit crabs
Going to the out of town fish store tomorrow and was looking at getting a BTA and maybe a Coral Angel Beauty or a flame angel. Has anyone had experience with either of these two angels, and would they go good with my current livestock??? My yellow tang is a little agressive to new comers. Please tell me all you can about these angels. Thanks in advance. :jumping:

I know, it seems like owners of cc starfish are about 50/50 on whether they eat anenomes, so I may take my chances, i am not sure. Thanks for the input though. Has anyone had experience with these angels though???

I've had both and the coral beauty is a little hardier but not as nice looking but they cost less. Depends on the flame Angels I;ve had three of them and they have all died of ick.

I have had a coral beauty for about 1.5 years and it is doing great. It stayed pretty small, about 3 inches. It lives with smaller fish and is nonaggressive. I have mushrooms, polyps, brain coral, anemones, gorgonians, etc and so far so good. I dont have glass anemones anymore so it is possible that he eats those but I cant be sure.
All in all, great fish.

I was able to keep both the flame angel and coral beauty in with a yellow tang. The tang never bothered them. The flame is a lot brighter in color unless your looking to add some purple then the obvious one would be the coral beauty.
