i hv a flame in my reef and a cb in my fowlr. both r reef-safe in my sytems. both need a well established tank (at least 4-6 months) and lots of liverocks to do well.

Take your chances and spin the wheel of destiny. No two angels are similar, the same species of angel that was safe for one person, isn't a guarantee to be safe for you. Sure there are some better/worse choices, but this isn't an exact science. Some ones to avoid would be Lemonpeel, Half-Black, Eibli, Multi-color, Key-Hole, basically any of the bigger dwarfs... Coral Beauty and Flames are some of the better options.
Oh, and FWIW, there is only one 'pygmy angelfish' Centropyge Argi;

The rest of them are commonly referred to as 'dwarf angelfish.'

I've had a flame and a coral beauty in my 110 for 4yrs now with no problems. But thats just me. Individual fish are different, it can sometimes be a mistake.

:Ill post a pic tommorrow:
I have a lovley 3 1/2- 4 inch yellow pygmy angel fish, its a little more bold during feeding time than i would prefer but all around a decent temperment fish plus the vivid coloring is a bonus. I have caught it nipping at my candy canes, and clams but no serious damage done.
Hope that helps out, as i said ill post a pic tomorrow, as of now lights are off:

As said before, no two fish, in this case angelfish, are alike. In my opinion with enough food and proper care of the pygmy angelfish, any serious damage can be avoided.

I had a flame that would pick on some lps, it recently jumped into my overflow and unfortunatly died. It would frequently nip at my clowns and Tangs. I just got a juvi emperor today, thats a risk I'm willing to take with my corals. I figure if it nips at certain corals, I can always remove them and try something else.

I have had 3 out of the 4. Flame and Coral Beauty were fine with coral. I still have the Flame. Had him now for about 3 years and he never nips at anything. Lemonpeel was the worst fish I have ever had. Nipped at everything and killed my snowflake eel. Polyps would never come out because it would nip at them as soon as they did. Eventually caught him and took him back to the LFS.
