Q's about cured/uncured rock. Need help!

I just purchased 5 Lbs of tonga rock at my local pet store. When I went there, all the good pieces were gone. So the owner of the store opend up their new shipment of very elegant UNCURED tongas. The owner washed them off in a buckett with a brush. The tongas he just cleaned didn't look like the cured ones he had in storage; It was a different color. CAN I PUT THESE ROCKS IN MY 24 G NANO DURING MY CYCLING PROCESS? In other words, Can I Take uncured live rock, brush off dead organisms and immediately put them in a cycling tank? I need Help, Thanks.

How far cycled is your tank? You can, it will just make the cycle go much longer. If you are near the end of your cycle you may want to just cure that piece in a seperate container.
