Q's about Posting pics, mine bite

Everytime I go to post a pic it says file is too large. I tried turning down my camera to 2.5 thats the lowest it will go. But then I still have to shrink them in Paint and they look horrible.
What am I doing wrong?

I use HP image zone which came with my computer to shrink them to 500x500. I use the full 5mp's on my camera and they come out nice.

i had the same problem. Someone told me about photobucket.com now i upload the pics to there

yea paint is horrible for pic quality just look in google for photo editing software and you will get lodes of stuff to help you out

I haven't posted any images on here yet, but I have been into photography for the past 12 years, and moved into digital photography about 4 years ago.
I say all of this to tell you that I have a copy of Paint Shop Pro 9 that I am willing to give you a copy of to use to do your photo editing with. If you want it, I will put the executable files up on my server that way you can download and install today without having to wait for a cd. PSP9 was made specifically for people that work with digital photography.
Not looking for any compensation, just willing to help out a fellow reefer in need.
