QT Mandarin

So if a Mandarin or Scooter Blenny have very selective diets, and if all of the books I've read and everyone who's opinion I respect on this board say that they need a big pod population to eat and hunt, then how do you quarantine them before adding to your show tank?
Won't they die waiting in a small tank for three weeks? Even if they don't, it seems like they would be so weak from not eating that they will be behind the gun when you finally do add them to the show tank.

my best advice is to try to find a mandrin that will feed on live brine or mysis shrimp before buying it , simply ask the clerk to try to feed it. if it wont eat , dont buy it. Thats what I did
and it worked well.
