I want to set up a small (10 or 20) tank with corals, reef right?, and i was wondering could i use that as a QT tank?
What kind of corals are hardy enough for a beginner?
I was thinking maybe 10 LBS LR and 10 LBS LS, is that kool?
Thanks..............

I don't think I would do that if I were you. The point of a QT tank is to be a place where you can view a new arrival for any illness, and treat if necessary. If you put a new fish in a nano tank, and it comes up with ich then you would have to try to get the fish out of the tank (usually this means dismantling the tank, because they hide in the LR), this would be bad for the corals in the tank, and it would put more stress on the already sick fish, by having to move it into another tank and then going through treatment. This is JMHO.

Fast learner, aren't i? What kind of lighting should i have on the 10G for the Coral and LR?
I was thinking of having it outside so that it would get natural sun light as well, is that a good idea or not?

I wouldn't put a tank outside espically one that small, the temprature will fluctuate too much. There's a lot of different types of lighting systems that you can use. Again controlling heat could be an issue. A inexpensive way is with power compacts.
Make sure you read up on the lighting requirements of the corals that you intend to keep. Like everything in life there are some at both ends of the spectrum and most are somewhere in between
