I have a 90 gal. and I'm purchasins my first fish in a couple of days. I have a 10 gal QT tank set up. My question is, since I have nothing in the main tank, except some snail and hermits, do I have to QT the new fish? If yes, how long?
if u have alot of rock u mite want to. their a pain in the azz to fine if they die!! i would say a couple days maybe a week, to see if he gets sick or dies. from the stress of shipping.
no i wouldnt. if anything, copper i know people that use that in there qt tanks. helps stop the ick before it starts. but if he does get sick he mite get immune to it. i would watch him and if he shows signs of sickness then treat.
