QT Tank

We were wondering what all was needed for a QT tank? Can we just have a say 10g tank and powerhead and do water changes daily? Or do we need more filtration. Does it have to be pretty much its own complete system? Also What Light do I need to have In my fuge to have good growth? The Light I have right now is a 65W Flood light that does about 640 lumens.
One last thing. Where would one go to order some echo rock?
