QT tank

I'm starting a new tank and I want to know if a 10 gal tank is big enough to quarantine most fish. I'm probably not going to purchase any fish that is more than 2" long. Also, should i prohlyacticaly treat new fish? If so, what treatment should I use?
Thanks,
Dave

A 10 gal should work but that depends on how many fish you have or are going to have in your main tank because if you were to have an ich breakout then you might have to move all your fish in the QT. I don't think its neccessay to treat new fish. Just keep the fish in the QT for abour 2-3 weeks and feed him garlic saoked foods, then just watch and make sure the fish doesn't show any signs of ilness before adding to your main tank. If you want any info on how to setup a QT, Beth wrote an excellent FAQ at the top ;)
