I have a 100 gallon tank with a seaclear sytem II filtration. Inhibitants in the tank are 1 sailfin tang about 6" 1 yellow tang about 5 inches 1 naso tank about 5 inches 1 niger trigger about 4 1/2 inches and a passer angel about 3 inches. I want to start a 300 reef tank. I have already sold my 100 my friend is just waiting for me to get my new tank up and established. I had a 65 reef before and everything was going great till a added a 6 line wrasse and he killed all the fish in the tank. I do not have a qt tank. I'm thinking of getting one set up for the 300. Question how hard is it to maintain a qt tank. What do I need to keep in it. The only thing I've used in my 100 is copper and it works great. But I don't think this would be good enough. I've read some about hypo. Bottom line question how hard is it to maintain a decent qt tank? Also if I decide to keep some of my fish that are in the 100 gallon for the 300 gallon should I put them in the qt tank before I put them in the 300.
