Now I am going buy and setup either a 15g or a 20g QT to be used to transfer fish to my 55g. Im planning on purchasing either or flame angel or a coral beauty, and a royal gramma. If im ordering them together is it ok to QT them both in a 20g tank?(one angel & the Gramma) Also can u hypo 2 fish at once? in the QT

There should not be any problems QTing both fish at once. Hypoing both (if neccessary) will be fine also.

There is no need to hypo or mediacate an otherwise heathy fish! The stress of the move is enough--just give perfect water conditions and check on them as often as possible so you can act at the first sign of trouble.

Ehhh after reading the horror stories around here about Ick They've scared me into wanting to hypo every fish. But Thanks everyone for the advice.

I just believe there is no reason to treat if there are no symptoms. The fish will be in qt for a month anyways, so why not wait till they show symptoms.

I agree. If the fish is goingt to have ich, you will see it with a 4-6 week quarantine. There is no reason to stress a healthy fish if it is unnecessary.

i just put a royal gramma in my qt and it DEFINITELY needs hiding places. it will swim around when it doesn't think im looking, but ZOOM right under the pvc fitting once it sees me (not in, under LOL)
good job though doing the QT, but don't treat for anything if they don't need it. just make sure you paint the bottom, have good water, and hope for the best.
