I dont have room for a permanent QT tank. I only have corals in my tank but i get tired of hitchikers, is there a way to " dip " them to get rid of hitchikers before adding them to my DT?
I was thinking of making a small acrylic box to hang over the side of my tank that i could sit the new corals in for a day or two and watch for hitchikers. I would use DT water and make the sides of the box high enough to be outa the water?
Is there a easier way? My last coral had a crab hiding in it and the one before that had a bristle star( i think thats what it is called)

You can do a fresh water dip of your corals and that will rid the coral of most pests. Be sure to match the DT temp and only leave the coral in the freshwater for a few minutes. Keep in mind that all crabs are not bad things, some acro's have crabs on them that will actual fend of other acro pest. of course some will eat your corals.,,lol
do the freshwater dip and you should be pretty safe. Not 100% but probably 95%
