Quality of various feeding shrimp?

There are SO many different things we can/should feed our various livestock and I'm starting to get confused about the differences. For example, I hear about frozen brine shrimp a lot but also hear that they are not nutritionally sound so to only use them occasionally, is that correct? Then I hear a lot about mysis shrimp, I'm gathering they are nutritionally GOOD? And now I've been introduced to frozen krill, but my confusion is, aren't these all basically "shrimp" but in different sizes? Why is one nutritionally void while another is highly recommended? Should I be looking for "fortified" frozen food or does one "type" of shrimp have a lot more to offer than another just by being a particular type? The frozen mysis I have doesn't look much different than the frozen brine shrimp, except maybe bigger. What gives? Educate me, please.

Neither of them are actually shrimp. Their nutritional breakdown are totally different. Some mysis, like PE mysis are even a freshwater variety, which has a totally different nutritional makeup again.....
If you can mix up the different foods, they will get a wider variety of different nutrients.

So brine shrimp and mysis shrimp aren't really shrimp? When I bought the Krill last night I asked the guy at the LFS what exactly "Krill" was and he laughed and said "basically shrimp". I said "but by calling them krill you get to charge more, right?"
A shrimp by any other name . . . . still tastes the same?

Krill isn't really a shrimp either.......
I don't know about tastes the same but they sure smell the same after being at room temp for a day.

they are basically types of zoo plankton. brine is like popcorn for fish, fun to eat, tasty treat, minimal nutritional value. sometimes it is sold infused with spirulina which makes it better.
mysid i believe actually is a shrimp, or at least never heard otherwise. they look like shrimp anyway, where as brine does not. the mysid are great nutrition.
there are also ghost shrimps which are a bit bigger , which i think are pretty decent live feed.
