quarantine/hosp tank

today i am going to set up my quarantine/hosp tank. can you tell me if this sounds ok or what i am missing here.i have a 20gal tank,stand,basic lights,heater,cannister or hob filter,power head. i was going to take a few pieces of lr,a few cups of ls, +20gal of water from my 90gal(water change).will this tank have to be cycled? is this everything i need to get this type of tank going?

I wouldn't waste live rock and sand. If you have to medicate the tank for any reason it will destroy them. I'd go with something easy to remove and clean that provides the inhabitant to hide.
Yes, it will have to cycle.
