Quarantine setup improvement

I like having the 10gallon...I think it's pretty cool having another tank setup...I want to use it as hospital, but also as place for incoming stock ect...I also have the tank out in a visible area and want to make it nice looking...
Does anybody have any suggestions? What are some ways to improve it's role as a hospital but still keep it decent looking...Is there any usefull mechanical devices to add?
I painted the back black and bottom black. Can I put sand on bottom, or is does that truely impede it's role as a hospital....
My first get go with it freaked the fish out..I know my water parameters were terrible and the filter was faulty. I'm going to fix those...But the mental stress level was terrible on the fish...I feel like incoming stock would be bummed in the tank without some stuff to play in like sand and dead coral, ect...

Sorry I missed this thread. I posted some ideas on the other thread you started. OOPS!
Another idea may be to use fake plants/coral. I haven't used one a lot but the idea of a hospital/QT tank is to keep FUNK out of your display. THis would imply that at some point you WILL get some critter with a FUNK and want to kill said funk. Then you'll want to clean you QT. The less in there the better.
I went to a LFS once where the owner only had a filter in each tank. No gravel or sand or rock or anything.
BTW the clown in my QT tank isn't freaked out by the lack of furnishings. THis will probably vary by animal, however.
