quarantine tank

i am looking at setting up a quarantine tank. i have read tens are the best? also all i need is an airstone or power filter(fish can live on just that). also do you that have these tanks just have and empty ten setting around your house while you are not using it? i wouldnt think that would look all that great. do i need live rock or ls in the tank. basically what is everything i should do to get one of these setup? sorry for so many question but thanks in advance.

so what your saying (anthem) is that dont keep it running all the time. that sounds like more trouble than its worth.also what do you mean add boi load? please advise.

thanks i was kind of confused about that. i have been toying with the idea of doing this also. im useing a 10 gallon my set up will consist of a whisper filter and a heater. are these tanks pretty much mantainece free when there is no ocupent. how does that set up sound to you any suggestions? thanks ahead of time

could I use a airstone and heater only, but change out say 10 - 20 % of water weekly???would that work?
