She should claim the tank as hers quickly..congrats. Let me know if yours chases your Tusk. Mine is pushy to all but seems to have a real hate hate relationship with my Tusk as he it the one she REALLY chases from time to time. Can't figure out why.
Congrats on a beauty. I love mine too.

Very beautiful! Hopefully someday my little 3" queen angel will grow as big as yours.
btw, you are treating for copper with the LS in the tank? Not to mention those pretty decorations?

Such an amazing fish. Looks painted, doesn't it? I can't wait until I get one. Eventually...
Is the copper prophylactic or treatment?
And how do you keep your tanks so clean?
and last question.. what lighting do you have?

I'm using cupramine because my fish got marine velvet a couple of months ago. I moved all of them into my QT's and waited 72 days and added the ones that made it back into my hex. I can't explain how, but my fish got it again!

So seeing that ccambell had great success with treating the DT, I did the same. I just removed all of the LR but kept all the sand. I haven't lost a fish yet and all show no signs of velvet. Water parameters are excellent. Got about a week and a half left of treatment. So far, everything is going good. This time I'm def. gonna make sure that all the parasites are killed.
I have 270 watt PC's for lighting.

Yeah... I would have never even of thought twice about doing that, but I did it for two reasons: I saw that ccambell had great success doing it and I wanted to make sure the velvet parasite was completely killed this time.
Does copper mess up decorations?

Please keep us updated on the progress. I'm researching different ich treatments and I'd be interested in seeing how successful it is to copper the entire display, for a FOWLR of course. How much longer do you have to go in the treatment?
I imagine the decorations absorb the copper, depending on what they're made of.

Wow, 72 days and then still infected. I can't imagine how frustrating that was. I sure hope this time around continues to be successful!

yeah, it was frustrating. That's the reason why I chose copper this time around. I really don't understand how that could of happened. The only thing I could think of is one of my fish that lived through the infestation carried it the whole time.

well, SWF.com had a juvi queen available today... then it was bought immediately. I just hope that one becomes available when I'm ready for one!

Good luck!
I'm actually a huge emp. angel fan but now that I have the Queen, it's tough to choose which one is prettier. Your right, it does look like it's painted with vibrant colors. I had never seen a queen in person until I got mine and they are truly spectacular. Pictures serve them no justice. I think it would look fantastic in your 180 hef.

I agree!!!
I would like both an emp angel and a queen in my 180. That's why I'm trying to keep it somewhat empty now so there will be room. Think the two would overcrowd a 180?
SO, can't decide which you like better now that you have both?

Hefner - the queen and emperor will be ok for a couple of years if you get them as 3" juvies. Right now my 10" emp and almost 7" queen are doing ok, but need bigger soon.

Juvi Queen Angels are so cute. I wish mine would stay like this, but she's already starting to change colors.
