What happens to my overflow when I install a wave box? Will it act normal or will the waves break the syphon and cause problems?

Most wave makers do it under the water lvl so if your is like that, all will work ok.
But if it is going on the top of the water just put a brake in, and the wave will stop and not hit to overflow box...

Wave box should not effect the syphon as long as both ends of the U-tube are submerged if you haven't done it already I suggest turning all of your pumps off and watch the water level drop once it stops turn all of the pumps back on and make sure the syphon restarts on its own.
